Our commitment to sustainable and responsible apparel production

Our apparel is all about celebrating the natural world, it’s wild spaces, and the people who care about it - so it’s been our mission from the start to operate ethically and responsibly. We know our customers share these passions too, so we are transparent about how our apparel is made.

Our materials

The cotton used in our apparel is 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. Not only does this make our products look and feel great, it’s also a more sustainable fabric.

Our inks are Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals.

By not including harmful chemicals and animal products, water-based inks are a more eco-friendly choice and also safe for clothing.

Our embroidery threads are Oeko-Tex™ certified threads, which certifies that they are free from harmful chemicals.

What makes organic cotton more sustainable?

  • It's renewable and biodegradable

  • Its kinder to ecosystems (and your skin), as its made without the use of harmful chemicals, pesticides and fertilisers

  • Uses 91% less water on average than conventional cotton production

  • Produces 94% less greenhouse gas emissions than methods which use pesticides and fertilisers containing nitrogen

Waste not, want not

All of our apparel is made to order, which means that we only print what our customers order. This avoids textile waste from over-production.

We don’t hold inventory which means that we never have garments go to waste.

On the occasion where production mistakes happen or we receive a return, our garments are repurposed, donated, or recycled (in cases where the garment is unwearable).

We ship our apparel in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers, made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This protects your garments while reducing our environmental impact. Like our clothes, we don’t hold inventory, which furter reduces our environmental impact.

International shipping

  • For our international customers, we ship your order from the nearest available fulfilment centre to you. This helps us to minimise the environmental impact of our shipping.

Making garment production more ethical

  • Our garment supplier is a leading member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), which recognises their commitment to safe, legal and fair working conditions for the people who work to produce the garments.

  • Our use of organic cotton also ensures a more ethical way of producing clothes further up our supply chain. The production of the fabric doe not expose farm workers to the harmful chemicals associated with conventional cotton production.

Every order plants trees

Every order helps to plant trees

10% of our profit from each order is donated to Stump Up For Trees, an organisation which responsibly plants trees in the Bannau Brycheiniog (a national park in Wales, United Kingdom).
